James earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy, where he graduated with honors. He then earned his master’s degree in information technology from Harvard University Extension School.
In 2014, James graduated cum laude from Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore. During law school, he served as Articles Editor for the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class and participated in his school’s Consumer Protection Clinic.
Admitted to practice law in Maryland, James is also admitted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Outside of the office, he is a member of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and performs with both the full and symphony choirs. Prior to moving to Maryland, James served as President, Secretary and board member for the Cambridge Chamber Singers.
